Downtown Disney, really the adult’s party while the kids are asleep. Paradise Island was where all the sin happened but from what I hear, it closed down at least for now. Downtown Disney now carries the responsibility of delivering the fun to adults. My first time visiting Disney World was at age 24…kind of embarrassing. The Cirque show La Nouba runs here, pretty worth it if you enjoy Cirque and acrobatics. Each of the 90 minute cirque shows has a different theme. La Nouba has a more playful theme which acrobats jumping around. The only free attraction of the Disney parks, one can spend all day and night here which makes it a worthwhile visit. There is plenty of shopping and ways to part with your money but also decent activities. The shops are specialty shops so there are basically none similar to each other. For example, there is a Lego store, shops that tailor to specific Disney movies, a glass figurine shop, a candy store, a cheaper souvenir shop, and etc. The entrance to this park features a public fountain that sprays water, fun for kids to run through. At lunch time though, due to the limited number of restaurants, the lines can get a bit long so try to bring your own food or get your food early. At night, all the bars open and tons of performers line the restaurants and streets so there is something to drink and watch all night long. Respecting the theme of Disney, no one was stumbling around outside after having too much to drink. The balloon ride costs almost $20 but provides a short but great view of the lakeside. You can pick out the La Nouba show tent and many of the stores.
