I was able to visit Hawaii with a family friend and his friends. We took 5 days and rented a car to drive around both Oahu (2 days) and the Big Island (3 days). Of course, we had to stop at a massage parlor…(no photos) All the foods “are now belong to me”, fatty and good! The Hawaiian Airlines serves flights basically every hour between each major island, one of the top rated smaller airlines in this country. I was a bit disappointed that even though they advertised giving out a complimentary drink, we received no drink. Be prepared to have your savings sucked dry as basic goods are imported and cost more than normal. In general, the islands are small enough to drive around in a day or two while stopping by all the main attractions. Hawaii is the biggest island. Oahu is the main island with Pearl Harbor and Honolulu, the capital of the state. Be sure to enjoy a Polynesian Luau while here. The Polynesian Cultural Center features the biggest one but is also the most expensive. The food is average but the exhibitions of the local cultures were astounding. Pearl Harbor features an open air museum of artifacts from World War II. Visit any of the many beaches around the islands to relax. Some beaches are crowded with surfers while others are nearly deserted. At night, visit one of the observatories to see the clear night sky from the location of the highest elevation in the country.
