I booked the Galapagos Camping Adventure as my first trip with G Adventures in the fall of 2015. Having been frustrated that I could not find any tour companies that did not charge a single supplement (I only know of two companies that do not charge if an individual goes on a trip alone), not to mention one that does not try to sell you everything, I finally found relief after researching this company. With a limited budget at the time, I was pretty set on visiting the Galapagos Islands before too many tourists resulted in sanctions imposed by the Ecuadorian government. Completing my research, I determined that there was no bad time to visit one of the most wildlife diverse beach islands on Earth. The low cost of the camping adventure surprised me, at $1,800, I would be able to spend a whole week on the islands, flight excluded. For reference, I have not seen a Galapagos trip lower than $3000 with any other company before. However, low cost is not the only differentiator.
When the day finally arrived, I spent a day on the plane and arrived in Quito, Ecuador late at night. Sparing you the details, the whole trip was well organized and followed the itinerary pretty closely. We had a local tour guide for a week who arranged everything for us. One benefit of G Adventures, he mentioned, was that is something goes wrong, he has the full capacity to alter the itinerary as necessary, which is not common among other companies. He was both knowledgeable, able to answer any questions we threw at him, and well connected, able to arrange great food, accommodations, and entertainment as necessary. Some other differentiators are that this is an adventure travel company, targeting Millenials but providing trips for the whole family as well. As one of the biggest adventure travel companies out there, G Adventures guarantees all departures, operates in the most countries and has 24/7 customer service lines with agents working all over the world! I called the customer service line several times and they were able to provide me with all the info needed, including information about visas, preparations, and etc very quickly. Not only that, G-Adventures gives support and money back to the local communities, working with charities and communities around the world! Recently, G Adventures has even started working with National Geographic in some of its tours.
I have used G Adventures again for a trip to Peru and plan to use it again and again in the future. The trips are more about education and experience than shopping. You will not be stuck in stores for hours and will have time to enjoy the attractions. The great experiences and memories created make this a great company to work with, the best travel company for me. After booking straight from Hostelworld.com for many ages, I stumbled upon this website, Hostelz.com. I tried searching around for a few hostels and discovered that this is a great search engine for hostels. In addition to searching Hostel World, this site searches other booking sites simultaneously. It pulls all of the relevant information on one page, including prices, reviews, description, and more. Compared to other hostel booking sites, this site provides more information, even for hostels that are not listed online. If you find more than one hostel that seems great, the site even allows you to filter results in a user-friendly format based on interests. For the future, I foresee using this site more for my bookings! Please enter the site through the links above to support me!
Trip Hobo is a very convenient trip planning tool for those who would rather save money and plan a trip out him or herself but not sure where to start. After having several test runs, I figured even a newbie can use this tool. All the logistics can be done for you, just choose the activities, locations, lodgings, or have Trip Hobo choose for you. Hotels can be booked through the site. Important details are listed and activities mapped out on the site. Just pick what you want to do of all the choices listed and discard the rest. I have not seen any tool more simple to use than this. This is really trip planning for those without the time or motivation. Check out the tool below for yourself.
