Today, we are featuring a travel blogger from Germany! Travel Ist Me!
What do you want to do for a living?
I want to be a travel blogger in the near future. That would be amazing and I´m on a very good way to reach this goal.
Where do you want to go next?
My next trip will be a cycling tour via France to Ireland. Then I try to get via Norway to Sweden and from there it´s just a matter of time till I reach South America. If you’d like you can follow me on Twitter. I will talk about my future travel plans over there!
What is your biggest fear when traveling?
Uhhhh good question. I really don´t know an answer on that one. I think I fear a lot of things but I don´t let the fear handle my life… most of the time. I handle my fear. If I find something troublesome, then I listen to myself. If my guts are telling me to better not go somewhere or do something, I don´t. But if it´s a fear that comes from somewhere else I try to do it.
How do you prepare for travel?
I feel deep inside and think about what I really want to do. Then I start thinking about what I need to make it reality and when I want to do it. Then I start preparing everything. And bit by bit you’ll get closer to your goal. I read about the places I want to visit on blogs, I talk to friends and then I forget everything, grab my stuff, and go building my own mind.
Who do you like to travel with?
Most of the time I prefer travelling solo as you can tell from my solo travel blog „www.travelistme.com“. I love the freedom of taking my choices, no need to make compromises. There is really just one person at the moment I would travel with for a longer time and she is like a sister to me. I love her dearly. By the way, you can find her on one of the pictures on the header of Travel Ist Me. Which one do you think it is?
What type of travel do you enjoy?
I really do enjoy slow travelling. As a backpacker, a cyclist or someone on the road. Taking your time while travelling a country. Maybe even staying at one place for a longer period. Trying to live like a local wherever you are. Going on a trip for less than 1 month is way to short for me. I need time to get to know the true soul of a place. So I need one month to get used to the idea that I am here, and to figure out how things work out in this new place. And then I can stay for as long as possible.
